Here's a hint for those who thought it was too dry or sweet - DON'T USE MIRACLE WHIP! The best mayo for this dish is the Kraft Real Mayo with the dk blue lid. I've tried a few, but that one seems to work best with the bleu cheese dressing.
Definitely GOOD EATS!

Used 9x13. Casserole travels well because the sauce is firm not wet and runny. Used water chestnuts not mushrooms. Blanched the stems not the flowerettes. Love the blue cheese flavor.

Made this for Easter dinner and was not disappointed. Some others thought the broccoli came out overcooked, but I think maybe they messed up on the blanching part because mine came out tender and not mushy. Blanching should be very quick and really just knock the green up a little.

My kids are two of the pickest eaters in California. Dinnertime at our house is a battle and vegetables are the enemy. I made this reciepe and added chicken and topped it with canned French fried onions (like the ones you use on Green Bean Casserole. I was worried that my kids would notice the blue cheese dressing and start crying, but instead, my son took a bite and said "this is delicious!" Believe me, I don't hear that very often. Picky eaters should try this. It was terrific! We will be making this often.

Even though a casserole is meant to be a main course I thought this dish was a little rich to eat all by itself. So, it occurred to me that this could also make a great side in lieu of the standard cheesy broccoli lots of people use. Overall it's a nice use of broccoli which is one of my all time favorite foods.

Made this receipe for a small family cookout but the blue cheese but it was still fantastic! Can't wait to make it again WITH the BC...I'm sure it'll make it tangier. Looking forward to making the other casseroles from this episode.

This casserole may sound a little funky but it's a must try! I replaced the blue cheese with ranch because i had it on hand, and it was still delicious. I will definitely make this again with various ingrediants. Thanks Alton!
