My rice came out perfect using the baking method. I may never go back to the stove top method. The salad was really yummy.

What a wonderful way to eat brown rice! So easy and so flavorful... I baked the rice with chicken broth instead of water, used 1/4 c vinegar and 3/4 c water for the "sauce," and used parsley instead of dill. Wonderful!!

My family loved the taste! The vinegar was spectacular to the flavor of this rice dish. It is excellent hot or cold. I just love that you can bake the brown rice in the oven. How sweet is that!!!

I've made this rice a few times. It is the best rice I've ever eaten. However, 4 oz of vinegar is overwhelming. I find 1 to 2 oz is enough. Also, the rice only needs 50 minutes in my oven. Be sure you don't get parboiled rice--the cooking time and water needed will be a bit different.

First of all, the brown rice cooked in the oven is GENIUS. I am one of those people who always burns the bottom of the rice, so this was a breakthrough for me. The salad itself was delicious - tangy, chewy, great hot or cold. Once the rice was cooked, it took no time to put together. Will definitely make this over and over!

How can you not like this?! I loved the vinegar, but I appreciate the criticism that there it may be too much for some people. I actually used apple cider vinegar and vegetable broth (am a vegetarian, and I substituted parsley for dill (just a preference. It was delicious. I ate it for dinner alone -- not the whole thing, but could have it was that good. I love you, Alton Brown!

tasty recipe, this was my first time making it. Very reminiscent of german patatoe sald imo. Seems like it is missing something maybe more ground and onion

I have not yet tried this recipe, however, I think it will be very good, given the fact that all recipes range from simple to complex, and the more ingriedints incorporated, the adjusments for taste must follow. I loved the baked brown rice, And I beleieve based on my own cooking experience, this will be a hit as well.
