I used AB's homemade chicken stock recipe for this soup. I didn't have tarragon and I like carrots so I threw some in. It was delicious. No, there was no chicken in the soup, but the flavor of the stock was all the chicken I needed. Such a great soup for these cold fall days!

I have been cooking for many years and this recipe is just plain bad. I made it and even after adding chicken and carrots the soup didn't have much of a flavor to it at all. You would get better flavor from canned soup than with this one.

This soup sure beats the canned stuff by a mile. You can feel free to add veggies if you want. Doesn't change the taste what-so-ever.

this is ok if you want to make chicken stock...it's good. if you are on death's door and sipping thru a straw, it is good.....very good. if you are looking for chicken SOUP put in the blasted chicken. you could also throw in some vegetables and dumpling or two.

This is a wonderful recipe for this well-known comfort food. I add 2 cups of shredded baked or grilled chicken, and also 1/2 cup chopped carrots. Very good!

Made this for my boyfriend when he was sick and he loved it! Have to be careful with amount of tarragon though. Additionally, not a whole depth of flavors, sort of one dimensional. But easy and quick to make. Would make again if only had short amount of time to make chicken noodle soup.
