If I have canned chipotles laying around or can actually find them, this recipe is a must. I probably make it twice a month if not more! If you like spice than this disk is for you! I usually add one more chipotle pepper, but the recipe will suffice for any spice loving person!

Ok, the recipe is great, but read it VERY CAREFULLY! It calls for 1 whole canned chipotle pepper...I thought it said a whole can of chipotle peppers. Holy smoke was it hot!!!
I've made it again since then using the correct quantity of peppers and it is much better! Enjoy!

We made this recipe last Thanksgiving just to see what reaction we would get. It was a "smash"-ing success!! So this year we have been told to make it again.

I have never liked sweet potatoes. However, I know how good they are for you so I always try to find a way to eat them anyway. This recipe is the first that I would eat every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is the perfect combination of sweet and hot.

I made this recipe and served it with steak. 'Excellent' cannot even do the recipe justice. I added about 2+ tablespoons heavy cream to the recipe and mixed them in a Kitchen Aid stand mixer until smooth with some lumps. My wife thought they were the best smashed potatoes ever, beating my garlic mashed and twice baked potatoes. I will make these for Thanksgiving to add a little zing to the turkey. Thanks Alton!

I followed the directions as-written, but added 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 cup heavy cream (which I just happened to have in the fridge and needed to be used up and used two large chipotle peppers, instead of one. My family likes picante and the second chilli gave it an extra bite. Quick, easy, and delicious recipe.

I've never been a fan of sweet potatoes, but this recipe is wonderful. The chipotles and the adobo sauce add a great dry heat to the potatoes. I didn't have a steamer so I boiled the potatoes, and they came out just fine. Someone asked what to do with the can of chipotles, just put some foil over it and keep it in the fridge, it should keep for a while, add them to whatever you want.

This is a great twist on sweet potatoes. Be careful not to use too many chipotles. I used two and it was too much heat for most at thanksgiving dinner.
