Made this & everyone LOVED IT!!!! I did not have expresso so I used Kahlua instead. (The BEST Only had 1 cup of 1/2 & 1/2 so I used milk for the rest. I also added approx 1 1/2 tsp of Cocoa Powder.

The flavor of this was quite good. I subbed cocoa powder for the hot cocoa mix, so it was not too sweet, which was perfect for us. I also followed another reviewer and cut the amount of chocolate in half. It was good this way, but if you want to go really decadent, do the full amount. I used only milk in this, as that is how I usually make my bread pudding. I think you could pass this off as breakfast or dessert!

This recipe had good flavor and tasted like yummy french toast, but I like my bread pudding with a little more pudding and a little less bread. I still enjoyed eating it though.

Used 86% cocoa chocolate and cut the amount in half. Added 1/2c chopped dried cherries, too. The family loved the bread pudding because it was not too sweet and a little tart. I let it sit in the fridge after prep, and the bread soaked up all of the custard leaving the end product more reminiscent to french toast. Next time I am going to use less bread in hopes of a gooeyer texture.

I saw this recipe and had to try it. I had to modify it for a low/no sugar diet, but it still came out absolutely delicious. The smell alone that drifted through my house while it was in the oven more than warranted leaving a review.

I made this today for brunch and passed it off as baked French toast. However I substituted nutella for hot cocoa mix and drizzled the top with it to finish. Next time I'll stick to the recipe and won't waste the nutella in the custard but keep the drizzle...it was awesome! Although it registered 170 degrees the pudding looked a little wet but it firmed up nicely after resting. I also forgot it was under the broiler and charred the top a bit more than I normally would, but everyone thought it was intentional and said it reminded them of charred marshmallows. I will be looking for a reason to make this again...soon!
