I don't eat pork, but I made this ham for a family fall dinner and everyone absolutely loved it!

I was told that the glaze was the best tasting thing in the world and the ham was moist and flavorful.

This is my "signature" ham recipe, but I always give Alton the credit!

    Thank you Alton!

My family used to buy those awfully expensive hams from those awfully expensives "ham dealers" and think they were just the best thing going. I made two of Alton's recipe last year. For both, there were nothing but bones left at the end of the day. Needless to say, I have requests for 4 each for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. You can't loose with this recipe. Be patient and you will have a ham that is better and certainly less costly that the premium brands from all those ham stores. THANKS ALTON!!!

Thank you Alton! This ham was great! I thought the crust would have been crunchy but it wasn't..(maybe I did something wrong but it was the BEST tasting ham I have ever had.. between your ham and my decorating.. my family said i was better than some female home decorator/cook

I made this ham after watching the show and being a bit of a skeptic. It is absolutely the best ham ever and has become a request for EVERY holiday. My brother in law gets so excited for this ham that he protects the leftovers.

WARNING: It is a bit messy and looks like a bad science experiment. Get past that and I promise that you will love it!

Seriously. I am not a fan. I made this to practice for Easter dinner for my new Mother In Law. My husband LOVES it. Says it's the best ham he's ever had. I think it has won me over... And I guess I'm in charge of Ham for Easter now...
