Pretty much the best ham I've ever put in my mouth. Only used a very small amount of brown sugar, and forgot to make the little foil tent, otherwise made the recipie as indicatd. Though I do admit I used a _lot_ of whiskey, and even spritzed the ginger snaps once they were on. Simple to do if you do it the way he does on the show ~there's something pervesely enjoyable about using a utility knife to score a ham and from now on, I keep my spray bottle full of Jack Daniels!~ and the results are fantastic! My dad isn't the biggest ham fan in the world, and he went back for thirds! Serve it with Alton's mashed potatoes and Emeril's Spicy Garlic bread with Garlic Aoli, and you've got one fine meal. A word of warning, the tea towel you use at the bottom of the pan is going to be history. Good eats indeed! ^_^

Fought with this involved method two times with poor results texture wise (not a cook. On third bout I had finally found a fantastic ham that sliced amazingly evenly start to finish. In all cases the results were really tasty. Messy to do at the add crumbs and pat stage. Worth the agony if I can always find that super ham at the grocery. If I mentioned the brand name there would be a run on the market.

I think this is a great way to prepare a city ham, but I sure do make a mess with the ginger snaps.

This recipe was easy, and good. I did not have ginger snaps or burbon so I impervised with Black velvet, and ground ginger.

This was the best ham I have ever cooked. My guests went back for seconds and thirds. The ham was so tender and had such a wonderful taste. This is a "keeper receipe".

I made the ham for Christmas dinner; and it was absolutely delicious. One of my guests was skeptical about the crushed ginger snaps. However, the cookie crumbles helped to create a most memorable and tasty crust - much better and more unique than the typical honey glaze.

This turned out to be a "showcase" ham and the taste was fantastic. My wife said that it was the best ham she ever had and I can't wait to do another.
