This is the best ham recipe EVER!!! It is alittle time consuming...but it isn't hard for the first timer cook. I made it for Easter dinner...and I'm requested ever year to keep making it. I would highly recommend everyone to try it at least once..you wil not be sorry you did! Once again, Bravo AB!

As a ham novice, this was the perfect recipe for me. Long have I stared at those 10 lb. shanks in the meat department without a clue how to cook them. This is the one and only recipe you'll need for city ham...

This recipe is somewhat time consuming, as there are several steps you must follow. The finished product, however, is well worth the effort. The ham looked and smelled delicious. All my guests requested that I make this ham for all our family functions! Definitely a winner!

I made this ham for Easter this year and everyone thought it was the best. You just have to be careful with the times given and go only by temperature of the ham which can be difficult for timing, but otherwise it is an incredible recipe.

As with all of Mr. Brown's recipe I have tried to date, this one is a pure satisfaction.

I had tried to make ham for my husband one Easter. His mother made hams on occasion and he metioned that he really liked them. Well my first ham was a disaster! So I thought I wouldn't ever make another ham...until AB did ham. So this year I made the City Ham recipe from Good Eats...I think my husband's exact words were, "I didn't know ham could be this good." The two of us ate the whole ham in about 2 days. It is just as good hot as cold.

This is a great recipe for a family gathering, but the ginger snap coating will get "mushy" if save the leftovers for later. If you plan to use the ham for more than one meal, I recommend dropping the ginger snap coating all together. Otherwise, the technique is great!
