I could not find a hock end but followed all of the other instructions with what I had. I was told by my boyfriend (at the time that it was the best ham he ever had and "Don't tell my mom I said that!" The results were well worth the effort.

I was a bit skeptical, because I don't like mustard with my ham. But I was wrong! This is fantastic! Only thing that bothered me was that the crust kept sliding off into the pan. Even my husband, who doesn't like glazed hams, loves this. Made it a day early for Christmas dinner, and I'm not sure if any will be left.
Thank you, Mother Brown, and Alton Brown for sharing this.
    Sincerely,
    Another Mrs. Brown

This is the only way my family wants ham anymore, so delicious and simple! This recipe has even converted ham-haters! I prefer to use Midel gluten free gingersnaps.

I'm gonna give it a 5 already even though I haven't cooked it yet. I adore Alton Brown and anything he does is wonderful. I can 100% always trust his advice and tips.
I'm slightly confused on what type of ham to buy though. I'm on my way out to the grocery store now. I don't know if I should be asking the butcher for the meat or looking at the prepackaged hams in the water/juices bag. I wish I could have seen the beginning of the episode so I would know what type of ham to look for exactly. I've always purchased Honey Baked Hams so I'm new at this. Wish me luck!

This is a wonderful ham recipe and gets rave reviews from my family! I use store-brand hams, and they still turn out delicious. One note... last year I bought a whole ham rather than a half and it took a LONG time to cook. We ended up eating later than I had planned.
