simply the best darn brownies on the planet. Alton has done it again. I have sworn off boxed brownies for life.

Incredibly moist, my husband was telling everyone about how good they were! I don't think I'm going to get away with using a package mix in the future. I would recommend them as a dessert as opposed to a snack.

i think a necessary step is to refrigerate the brownies after they have cooled off. this makes them extra chewy and fudgy. absolutely delicious!

I've tried quite a few of Alton's recipes and am seldom disappointed (although my cheesecake is much better than his, but this one turned out weak. They are very bland and do not have the "brownie texture" that really defines a brownie. Mine was crumbly around the sides and gooey in the middle. I use a oven thermometer so I know it wasn't the temperature, and I followed the recipe exactly as written. The search for the perfect brownie continues.

These brownies are sooooo good. Very rich. Very moist. It says to cut them into 16 brownies, which I usually never do, but I'm glad that I did. They were great and very easy.

I am a huge baker and have made numerous brownies. These are lacking what I normally look for in a brownie. Since the only chocolate flavor comes from cocoa, they taste "cocoa-y", not chocolately. Also, the texture is not like a normal brownie, but with half the flour and nearly twice the butter, how could they?

If you are looking for an amazing brownie, this is not it.
