With the pepper and hot sauce I expected more of a zip in the taste of the shrimp. The peanut butter was too overbearing in the peanut sauce and made twice as much as needed.

We've tried and tried to make coconut shrimp and simply gave up several years ago. The coconut never stayed on the shrimp and the pan became a great big mess! This recipe is wonderful and my family couldn't get enough! We had to make it two nights in a row to satisfy the 'itch'....No more expensive restuarant appetizers for us! THANKS AGAIN AB!!

Is the amount of peanut butter 1/2 cup or 1 1/2 cups??? I made it with 1 1/2 cups and it was not right.

The boyfriend and I made this for dinner and it was delicious! The shrimp cooks fast so who ever is cooking better work fast. Don't worry if the coconut looks burnt, it still tastes great. I will make this again in the future. Two thumbs up!

This was an absolutely astounding recipe. You haven't eaten coconut shrimp until you've made it yourself. This was ten times better than any restaurant recipe for coconut shrimp. I made the extra effort and bought a coconut and grated it myself. That made all the difference. I'll NEVER buy shredded coconut in a bag again. It's extra work, but very worth it.
The peanut sauce was excellent as well.
