Best cranberry sauce I have ever had. We gave up the canned stuff a couple of years ago and started making it from scratch. This recipe is excellent. I added a little cinnamon. Like he says in the video, you could add a bunch of different things to make it your own. Way good! Oh, and use fresh o.j. It's worth it!
For the people who said it tasted strongly of honey I wonder what kind of honey you used. We used clover honey. Or maybe the honey didn't get completely dissolved? I don't know. We definitely didn't have that problem.

Unlike the vast majority of your other recipes, this one doesn't cut it. The honey taste comes out of nowhere and does not mesh at all with the other ingredients. Threw it out and started a new batch from scratch. Used the recipe from the back of the whole berry bag, but added cranberry juice to the recipe.
Maybe there is a specific variety of honey that would work better with this recipe ?
Keep up the great work, though. You are batting .950 overall!

Its great! This recipe is definitely a keeper. It jelled perfectly although I just mixed it up in the bowl I put it in because I didn't want to do a mold. I really wasn't sure about the honey, I love honey but didn't want honey flavor in the cranberry. You don't taste it at all in the finished product. And its the perfect amount, not too sweet and not too tangy. I should have known Alton wouldn't steer me wrong.

I haven't had canned sauce in over three years. This is the only cranberry sauce I will ever make, everyone loves it!

First time making cranberry sauce and I made it for Christmas and added a few of my own touches.
A pinch of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves with a little bit of orange zest.
I replaced the cranberry juice (since I didn't have any with apple cider.
Everyone RAVED about my cranberry sauce. This will become an annual staple from my kitchen.

Made it today for Christmas. It was definitely easy to prepare, but I did not like the flavor the honey produced. It seemed to overpower the sauce. I would have preferred to bring out the orange essence in some way. But even with that, it was superior to the canned whole berry sauce that is usually used.

The recipie is so easy and the directions are clear and conscise. I used a small ceral bowl as a mold and it looked as good as any professional display I have ever seen.
