These were some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. These definately don't need any gravy, they're full of flavor.

I thought these were okay - I didn't dislike them, but they didn't "wow" me like some of Alton Brown's other recipes. I don't know if I will make them again.

These were the best! Made a few changes used 1 tbsp. of sea salt and used about half the amt. of cheese. They were so creamy and smooth. Just used the hand masher. Made them for Thanksgiving. Everyone loved them and could not believe there was no butter in them.

a little too much garlic for me. Next time I would probably use one or two cloves less.

I've been trying different mashed potato recipes for weeks because I'm responsible for this dish at a Thanksgiving feast for 24 people. I have finally found the one! This was incredible. Our family loves garlic. I did add some melted butter to the recipe because I just think all mashed potatoes need butter. I also mixed them with a hand mixer for a brief period of time because I don't like the lumps that I frequently get when just using a masher. I also went a little bit lighter on the salt. Thanks so much....great recipe.

I try to get as many sides done early and get them into roasters/crock pots. I added a little extra sour cream and got the potatoes ready before the turkey came out of the oven. It didn't dry out and get crusty at all and it tastes great.

Different enough to get people talking, but standard enough to please the masses.

These potatoes were a hit last year at our family T-day dinner! Everyone was asking for the recipe, and I said "you need to get it from Alton"
