Amazing. My boyfriend ate at least three servings in one sitting.

Used 50-50 Russet potatoes - parsnips. Awesome!

This mashed potatoes recipe is amazing. Made it for Thanksgiving this year an it was an absolute hit. I am goin to make this again for Christmas tomorrow. Highly recommend this, especially if you don't want to have plain old mashed potatoes for your holiday feast or any meal!

First time making the mashed potato and decided to try out this recipe. Again the Good Eats do not disappoint. The result turned out great. For a low fat version, I used milk and still tasted good and light. Glad there's no butter in this recipe.

Beware the six cloves (of the apocalypse. Unless you and every person eating this REALLY loves the heck out of garlic, you're going to regret using that much. Each bite was like sucking on a raw clove. We made it a few days later with no garlic and it was quite delicious, but I think if it had been presented with all that garlic to the judges on Top Chef, they would have thrown him right off of there :p

Fluffiest mashed potatoes I have ever made. Flavor was very nice but this was the first time I used a potato ricer, so I dont know whether the fluffiness was due to the recipe or my new ricer. Great flavor nonetheless.

The ultimate comfort food! I have doubled the recipe for these mashed potatoes for the past two Thanksgivings in a row, and not only are they easy to make, but get rave reviews from my family every time!! No need for gravy, perfect for garlic lovers. Kudos, Alton!

These were very tasty, but they are extremely salty! I even cut the salt down to 1 tablespoon.
