We found this recipe to be much better after it had refreigerated over night. It was extremely creamy and wonderful. The first day it was light and not very rich.

Worth the wait. Make 1 day ahead.

Easy to make.... not so easy to cook. Very tricky to get just right, but worth the work.

If you like creme brulee, you will love this one. The amazing thing is how easy it is to make. For the perfect upscale finish to any meal, this is the dessert.

I received a kitchen torch for a gift, and couldn't wait to try this recipe! I didn't have any vanilla sugar made, so I used regular sugar in the cream mixture. I saw another recipe that recommended using turbinado sugar for the top, so I substituted that and it worked very well. My ramikins are 4oz, so this made 8 servings.

So easy and so much fun for kids to help with. I can't believe that in just two batches my own brulee now surpasses that of any I have had in any fine resteraunt. It's so good my kids want to eat it every day. Fortunately, one batch lasts several days.
