Very good glaze, sets up nice and fast. I made a couple changes, I made half a recipe and used whipping cream and only 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla. I would make this glaze again :

This is not what I think of as donut glaze, sorry. First off, cut the vanilla in half, or it will be way too strong. Secondly, I was looking for more of a hard, thick Krispy Kreme sort of glaze, but this mixture is way too thin. Now I just have soggy donuts, great.

Worked great for me. I'm wondering if the difference is using real vanilla versus artificial. I used a high quality real vanilla and the taste was just right.

Quick, simple and very tasty! I only had 2% milk on hand, and it still turned out fantastic. I used the glaze on top of some doughnut muffins I made and it was a great compliment to the doughnut.

Outstanding recipe. 3 ingredients - extremely easy.

Like some others have said, I had an off taste in my first batch and I suspect it had to do with the strength of my vanilla. So I cut it in half and it was perfect.

I also tried another batch with coconut milk. It didn't dissolve as much sugar and it was stickier. I had to add a little milk to help dissolve the sugar. I did a side-by-side comparison and I thought it actually was better, although i couldn't detect coconut. I had my wife do a blind test and she chose the coconut milk version, too. But I think I'll go back to regular milk since it was only marginally better and coconut milk is expensive.
