Very Good! Miso was almost $10 bucks at Whole Foods, so I will be making this a lot. I found it in the dry section but you are supposed to refrigerate after opening. YUMMY and healthy :

Very nice, lower fat alternative to guacamole and much lower in carbs than hummus, which is helpful for diabetic noshers. Making low carb apps for a dinner party usually means cheese, eggs,or meat, but often they are quite high in fat. This recipe bridges the eating requirements of many more people with dietary issues.

Great dip! I did add a little less oil and subbed in a little water to lower the calories. I also blitzed it longer to make it smoother. I buy miso at the health food store--it's a refrigerated product, if that helps you find it and you can always add it to soup too. Anyway, I'll make this dip again!

Awesome recipe, great flavors, everyone loved it! However I ran the dip through a sieve to make it smooth and creamy because I don't like the the shards from the edamame.

Delicious--followed the recipe exactly (cilantro, lime, and frozen shelled edamame, which my local Whole Foods sells, along with the brown miso and chili paste. I'm a dedicated meateater, and don't care for tofu or most soybean dishes, but I loved this. Don't overcook the edamame, and don't overprocess the dip---it's nice to have a bit of light crunch in the small edamame "shards". Pretty, bright green color--no brown, as another reviewer claimed.

Okkkk.... this recipe is pretty amazing! I served it at a Halloween party and it was a complete hit! I served it with tortilla chips and pita bread cut in triangles. Yummy! Everyone loved it and it is super healthy! I will definitely serve this again! Thanks Alton for a great healthy recipe! :

This turned out really yummy. I couldn't find the miso paste, so I substituted it with a combination of soy sauce and peanut butter, in the hopes of mimicking the texture and saltiness of the miso. It worked pretty well. I also added extra chili paste as some other reviewers had suggested. I think it just depends on how spicy you like things. Definitely give this recipe a try - it's really easy, and super tasty.

Oh my goodness, is this good! It has great flavor; you could double the chili paste to increase the heat, but it is good as listed.
