Loved It! I tried substituting Splenda for the sugar and used half and half instead of the milk/heavy cream. Don't use jumbo eggs, they foamed a little too much. And of course a little more bourbon for the adults gave it a good kick. Thanks for the recipe! JHS

I didn't think I'd like it but it tasted great. My honey and the kids drowned themselves in it! It was even good without the bourbon.

I actually enjoy the premade eggnog better. This simply didn't have enough flavor.

Mmmmm, this eggnog was delicious. Everyone said they loved it! (And I mean everyone. The extra nutmeg I added didn't hurt, me thinks. Next, I think I'm gonna try an eggnog martini I found on this site:

Simply delicious, I like the cooked version better, but that's just personal preference. Infinitely tinker-able, try some cinnamon and ground ginger alongside the nutmeg and you'll wonder why you ever bought a pint of the megamart swill in the first place.

I tried this recipe and it was the best ever. People raved about it.... even the ones that hate eggnog! It was my first attempt at making eggnog. It was very easy to make which was a good thing since I found myself with several request for this custard like masterpiece.

I made the non-cook variety and it was a smash hit. I had to make it at least four more times during the holiday. For the Bourbon I used Wild Turkey 101.

This was my first attempt at making eggnog. I used the cooked recipe and it worked like a charm. It tastes so great. I used spiced rum instead of bourbon. I'll never go back to store bought.

I followed the "cooked" recipe exactly....well, I doubled it.

Two days later, I did it again. Back by popular demand.

So very simple, so absolutely delicious.

Thanks Alton....and a prosperous and tasty 2010 to you!
