This is a good fruitcake recipe. Too putsy for me for something that not that many people like. Also, because I live in a small town some of the ingredients were pretty hard to find.

I have made this nearly every holiday since it first aired. GOOD EATS indeed. I hate the store bought stuff and found this recipe made such a different and wonderul product. Not fake dies no fake fruit. Just the real thing baby. Usually marinate in the brandy for a week before cutting it.

This is the third year I am making this fruit cake. Each year more and more of them, mostly for people that wouldn't touch a fruit cake with a ten foot pole!
This year instead of gold rum, I am using vanilla rum. It tastes fantastic. The other nice thing is that I make them in mini loaf pans. I get about 8 per recipe. These things freeze great and taste fresh baked coming out of the freezer. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.If you don't like some of the fruits, change them to what you like. You can't ruin this recipe!

Throw out bad tasting fruitcake of the past. No glow in the dark mystery gobs here. Everyon'es favorite. Trust me, would I lie to you?

I have been making this recipe for the past 5 years now. I remember this from my childhood and now have started a Christmas/Chanuka Holiday Gift request.
All no fruitcake eaters will eat this cake and come back for more. I have a standing order for 15 cakes per year, and sometimes for their birthday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the memories of my Mother and Grandmother making this cake.

This is the best recipe I have ever used for fruit cake. I am already getting requests for it.

Even if you think you don't like fruitcake because of the weird colored fruits, try this one made with real fruit. It will change your mind. Its the BEST!!
