As a French Onion soup lover and connoisseur , I have tried many a French Onion soup. This is simply the best and most pleasurable onion soup I have ever made or eaten. It is the soup's slight sweetness that differentiates this onion soup from all the rest. Easy to make, this recipe is fabulous. I liken it to a bowls of brown liquid gold.

I'm not usually a person to like sweeter dishes for dinner (i think that is more of a dessert thing but even with this soups sweet broth, I thought it was very very good!
