Made this for 10 people for Easter brunch and it was a hit! Followed the recipe and technique to a tee. I used the Challah bread from Whole Foods Market. This is the first time I've used that, and it was out of this world.

This came out great! I made it with our normal sliced potato bread--I think Mrs. Bairds--and it still came out delicious, although I know challah would have been outstanding. I added a couple of pinches of cinnamon to the egg mixture, too. Served with turkey bacon and grapefruit halves. Totally satisfied my hubby's breakfast-for-dinner cravings, and easy enough for a weeknight!

RIDICULOUSLY incredible french toast! I also added 1 tsp. Tahitian vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp. each high-quality ground cinnamon & ground nutmeg; I used Challah bread, too. My husband - who is an unofficial French toast connoisseur, could not stop raving about the results!! This recipe is SO easy, too! I even used liquid egg substitute and it was INCREDIBLE!! I've NEVER been a fan of French toast, but this recipe is unbelievable!! It was light with JUST the perfect amount of sweetness & "buttery" flavor; the vanilla & spices were wonderful! I highly recommend this recipe!! Positively WONDERFUL - the best we've ever had in our lives!!
