I have a cast iron chicken fryer, and wanted a basic guideline for good tasting fried chicken. This recipe although very simple, is a cornerstone recipe. You can take this recipe further, and make buffalo wings by adding sauce afterwards, or just frying breast, slicing them , and serving or mixed greens.

This was my first attempt at making fried chicken, and it came out just as promised. To prove it, I quote my worst critic (my boyfriend, "This is the best fried chicken I've ever tasted." Thanks Food Network!

The seasoning made this recipe taste great. This recipe is very different from down home country fried chicken, but I would use this recipe everytime I fried chicken. The chicken stayed very moist on the inside, but very crispy on the outside.
