Very, VERY easy to make and it really adds a certain something special to what could otherwise be a run of the mill cake.

I have tried this recipe many times. It works great on chocolate cakes, and on brownies. Try it! (Especially Fudgy Brownies

Why do people have to write mean reviews? I do not believe that ANY recipe or idea given on FOOD NETWORK is meant to emulate anything a top chef or pastry chef would make. SO, this recipe calls for corn syrup! It works for the home chef and that's what this network is all about!
Like my mama taught me, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Some people need to get the hint! Great recipe!

Nobody in the world with experience in the top levels of pastry would use corn syrup. Please keep this kind of innovation to yourself.

This is delicious. MY 4 year old daughter and I used this one to make truffles for a special treat. They were great. They CAN be very hard to roll before they melt. We alternated rolling balls of ganache with holding a gel ice pack (like you put in insulated lunch bagsto keep our hands colder so the chocolate didn't melt as quickly. My daughter thought it was the coolest "craft project" we've ever done.
