These are the best gingersnaps I've ever had! I used the conversions that other posters suggested, and they turned out great. I used Alton's recipe to make my own candied ginger after I discovered how expensive pre-made was....but I forgot to save some fresh ginger for the cookies. Using a little extra of the candied ginger in its place seemed to work just fine.

This recipe was easy to convert, make and was delicious. I prepared them without the candied & fresh ginger. I encountered no problems or sticking. They were perfect and everyone enjoyed them. Thank you and Happy Holidays Alton!

These are awesome if you are looking for a true to taste flavour. The ingredients were a bit of a pain to convert. But they baked up just like they should, 2nd tray I left for the extra minute or 2 and they are nice and crunchy, perfect for a dunk in a cup of tea. Next batch I would add a hint more of the spices.

Horrible. Every year I make the entire 12 days of cookies. These had way to much Ginger which had quite a kick and left an after taste. Plus the ingredients are insanely expensive $11 just for a bottle of cardamom.

This is a terrible recipe. I have a master's degree in Food Science and even I had trouble converting this recipe to standard kitchen measures. When I did finally try to bake the cookies, they stuck to parchment paper and they ended up in the garbage. Please remove this recipe from the site.

I agree that there is not enough flour. The flavor was delicious but they came out like round shingles and a funky dark brown color. Did I mention I don't usually bake? My attempt tasted better than it looked. Go Figure.

This was a delicious cookie. I baked mine for 12 minutes, and they were crispy on the outside and chewy in the center. The gingery flavor really came through!
