These were only ok... not sure what all the rave reviews were about. I have had better glazed carrots. I followed the recipe to a tee and the carrots weren't glazed, just flavored. Sorry Alton, not one of your best....

I was excited to try this recipe for my Easter dinner after reading all the positive reviews. I followed the directions and used a good quality ginger ale. The carrots took longer to cook than stated in the recipe, and the end result was just cooked carrots with not much taste. I wouldn't make this recipe again.

Not a big cooked carrot fan but these were outstanding! The only way to make them from here out! Thanks Alton

This is my family's favorite carrot recipe. It's so easy and so incredibly delicious. Whodda thought that chili powder would go so good with carrots. I've made many of Alton's recipes and have saved them all in my Favorites.

You have to try this recipe. It is so surprisingly good. The combination of ginger ale and carrots with a pinch of salt and chili powder (and of course...butter. Heat it for a while until the liquid becomes glazed....it is really out of this world! Try it!!

Made these carrots for Christmas dinner with Tyler's prime rib and roasted red onions, everyone loved them, even my kids who say they 'hate' vegetables. DELICIOUS and EASY.

On reading reviews for Giadda's Xmas pot roast where someone used your carrots as the veggie. My friend was making her pot roast and I offered to bring carrots, I made my own French onion carrots and yours as they were simple, and I had everything in house and the reviews were great. I did take the precaution of adding the chili powder in 1/8 increments so I didn't overpower everybody at the table, ended up using the 1/2 tsp. Needless to say they were a big hit and all gone..It was that creep up and grab you taste. The subtle ginger ale and the tiny bite of chili. I have a french onion, you have a ginger ale and Rachel had a root beer in one of her mags that was great.. sounds like a great carrot trio. Picky eaters get to choose. Thanks Alton...
