I thought how much better can these be than just steamed carrots, but I've done more than 5 batches of these in a matter of weeks. I ddn't have chili powder so I used cayenne (red pepper. Originally, they give a sweet taste, then they give you quite a kick at the end. Everyone loved them and it can't get any easier!

My sister-in-law made these for a family get-together and we all loved them. I got the recipe myself and made them for my own family (hubby, 1yr old and 4yr old. They love them (using Vernor's soda and this is the only way I make them now. They have just the right texture and sweetness. Also, I don't usually have fresh herbs on hand so I just use 1 teaspoon of dried parsley and that works just fine. YUM!

These carrots cannot be beat--inexpensive, simple AND delicious! Made this recipe for the first time tonight and it definitely won't be the last! I took this dish to a carry-in. I was a little concerned because the recipe said to serve immediately. Mine weren't eaten until 1-1/2 hours after I made them. They will still great! So, the carrots keep well without getting mushy. Also, the carrots were just sweet enough--not overly sweet. I'm thrilled that I've added another recipe to my repertoire!

Hi... I am NOT a carrot fan... glazed carrots with brown sugar or maple syrup are way too sweet for me. This holiday, several family members requested carrots and I found this recipe (which intrigued me to try. The carrots were awesome... a little sweet, a hint of spice, a hint of ginger... this is IT!!!
