This is, by far, the juiciest turkey I have ever had. Not only is it tender, the aromatics will send you into sensory Heaven. For the most part, I am not a turkey eater,However this one has turned the tide. Very easy to prepare, as long as you have a 5-gallon bucket, and if you saw the episode of Good Eats that it was featured on, Mine came out looking just like it. AWESOME!!

Outstanding - followed the recipe to the letter. My dad gave me and my husband the best compliment...he said he had been alive 66 years and eaten 66 Thanksgiving dinners and our turkey was the best BY FAR! Thanks, Alton!

Nobody that I know "really" likes the white meat b/c it is always so dry.
This recipe makes the white meat as tender, and juicy as any dark meat.
The brine draws out the moisture in the meat, and replaces it with all the seasoned brine solution. "Absolutly incredible" is how people describe the bird on tukey day!
Everybody loves to come have my Thanksgiving turkey now.
I have to make twice th amount of turkey breasts as I used to.
The meat comes off the bird dripping with juices. Make sure to get your serving quickly, as there might not be any left when you finally get to sit down.
This is one of Alton's best!!
Make sure to watch the salt content for all you no-salters!

Great recipe though I didn't follow it all. I had a fresh turkey and skipped the brine process but aromatics and cooking directions were excellent. Has become a thanksgiving tradition for us.

Alton has done it again! This was the best turkey I have ever fixed! The little bit of prep yields volumes of rewards! Very Moist and juicy!

I've made this recipe for 4 out of the past 5 years and will not make a turkey any other way anymore. The one year I didn't brine it I tried deep frying it...expensive and tasteless mistake. Brining a turkey keeps it so moist that even the leftovers are good for a couple days. Try it, you'll like it.

I've tried several different brine recipes, this is the best! Plus it flavors a perfect turkey broth to use for soup later.
