Easy to make, but by far the best recipe ever. Like the show says the turkey was moist and delicious.

I have used this recipe for the last three Thanksgivings and have to say how awesome it is! I have gotten nothing but praise, and I have a very opinionated family . It is yummy and really juicy! Thanks Alton - we love you!

This is simply the best way to prepare a turkey and it really is not difficult at all. It produces the tastiest, juciest bird I have ever eaten and it is almost impossible to overcook. I saw this on Good Eats the first time it aired, tried it that Thankgiving and have brined every turkey since. There are tons of brine recipes out there now and I would encourage anyone to try their own flavor combo's but do stay with the salt/liquid ratio.

This will be my second year using AB turkey recipe. Last year I got rave reviews. I suggested we try something different for 2004 and was promptly told that is was brine or nothing.

Everything was great, except that the cooking temperature is off. We set the thermometer timer to 161 as the recipe calls for and the bird was underdone. Everything else I've seen says 180-185 degrees. Other than that it was the best tasting turkey I've ever had!

I'm not a great cook, but I tried this reciepe and everyone thinks I am. The prep work isn't hard and the end result is a very juicy bird. The brine makes the difference.
