When I used this recipe last year, it was my first Attempt at the Thanksgiving turkey. This turkey was the most moist one I've ever tasted!

I was raised using the low temperature and slow cooking method of making turkey. When the roating bag was born that was the "new" way to cook turkey. After watching Good Eats' Romancing the Turkey and trying the recipe, I have found the one and true way to make turkey. A new tradition has been born in my household and will stay forever.

Alton, you rock!!!!! This is your best recipe (besides the cheesecake episode.

This is the juciest, most flavorful turkey you will ever eat. I have made it 6 times and it has never failed yet.

If I could give this recipe 10 stars, I would. For the first time in my entire life, I have found a method of preparing a Thanksgiving Turkey that's not only sinfully delicious, it's easy to do. My mother spent her whole life avoiding roasting a Turkey at Thanksgiving because it never tasted quite right. The first time we did this turkey, she had come to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. She was completely blown away and promptly announced "We will never have a turkey cooked any other way," this after my daughter's significant other botched a deep-fried turkey the week before. Alton Brown will always have my undying respect and admiration.

I cooked my first turkey 4 years ago after watching this episode of Good Eats. I tried the brine and my turkey was wonderful.

I have used this recipe each year. This makes the most wonderful tender and juicy turkey.

It may seem like it is a lot of trouble, but the time spent is well worth it.
