I caught this episode (rerun? at 3am and had to rewind until I could write down all the ingredients. I substituted more oats for the sunflower seeds and added some ground flax seed. I packaged into snack size zip lock bags and after 3 days will have to make more. Might try dates or raisins in next batch.

I have been looking for a good high fiber granola recipe that wasn't to high in fat that was adjustable to our tastes. This one fits the bill precisely! Just the right amount of honey combines well with just about any modification you would like to make. The biggest trick to this recipe is to cut while slightly warm but do not try to remove until completely cool.

These turned out fabulous. I ALWAYS read the recipe reviews first and took the idea of using a larger pan (9 x 13 and they were delicious. I let them cook for about 2 hours and there was no crumbling, although they were extremely hard to cut no matter which knife I used so I ended up just breaking them into pieces. I used dried cranberries and did half vanilla extract and half almond extract. They are super-delicious and I was chomping on them all weekend!

most addictive granola bars I've ever tasted! I added candy-coated sunflower seeds which made the bars wonderfully colorful, but otherwise followed the recipe, and they are amazing. It is important to press the bars down before and after baking, and let cool completely. Out-of-this-world good!

This recipe has fantastic flavor but will leave you spittin seeds. The unshelled sunflower seeds don't quite go away - I'm sure it's good for fiber but next time I'm going to use the shelled variety.

Very good & healthy, but VERY tough to get out of the pan. Any suggestions that might help? I've tried with oil & with non stick spray.

Great flavor! It does fall apart, though, so we just eat it out of a bowl or plate.

I tried making these twice and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. They just won't stay in bars so we end up eating it by the handful or as cereal. Otherwise, tastes great!

Make this for a road trip and a camping for a week. It was great. Filled us up and lasted all week.

than what you buy in a store! I made mine with a combination of Michigan (Traverse City dried cherries and dried apricots. The only problem is I can't stop eating them once I make them!
