Too sweet and sticky. I had no problem cutting, like other viewers. However, a couple days after I had them stored in a container and they all melted togheter!! Seperate by parchment next time or in single layer.

On the show, Alton gave Nutritional Information (i.e., carbs, calories, fat, etc. but this is SADDLY missing from the printout recipe on the Food Network website. I cook for a diabetic, so such details (especially carbs are important to me and many other views. ALL RECIPES ON FOOD NETWORK SHOULD INCLUDE NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION! IMHO (Stepping down from my Soap Box!

We watched this episode and we made each of the recipes. I am never buying store bought granola bars again. Too liven our bars up a bit, we made a batch with some with some finely chopped white chocolate peices and for the fruit portion used dried cranberries and blueberries. WOW!

I made these granola bars one week and after a few days, they were all gone! Everyone in the family was packing them for lunch and dipping them in lowfat yogurt.

Tips: Don't cook them on the lower rack of the oven, as they will burn easy with the butter.

Use the crumbs to top your favorite yogurt!

I made these bars, and I took the recommendations of the reviewers and let them cool completely before I cut them. They were easy and tasted really good. One bar lasted me all morning! I wasn't hungry at all, and I was very busy today. I used local wildflower honey, too. Thanks, Alton.

Wish the recipes on the web site would have included the nutrition breakdown that Alton offered on the televised episode. I didn't have get to write them down while watching. Great recipies! I'm going to share them with my chiroprator who is very health conscious.
