There's nothing more to say. Although the yield is 16 2-inch squares, I had difficulty cutting them that small without having them crumble apart. I left them in longer 2 x 4-inch bars. Besides, they are so good, I wanted a larger bar!

I made these for my friends in my bike group and they loved them! They especially liked that their sugar/energy levels didn't drop quickly(like sugary processed bars. This bar really stays with you for a while. A great, healthy alternative to "pre-made" bars. The best part is you know exactly what goes into them and can even pronounce all of the ingredients!

These granola bars were delicious and easy to make. I cut them and wrapped them individually, then my family had a quick nutritious breakfast or snack handy for a week. These are so much better (and more wholesome than the ones in the supermarket.

Not only are these pretty cheap and easy to make, these are BY FAR the best granola bars I have ever tasted! No preservatives and less sugar than comercial bars too. Took them hiking in Yosemite, and they were perfect! Thank you, Alton - you've done it again!!!

I made these bars for a hiking trek to half dome in yosemite... they were such a hit... to the bears who broke into our car and nabbed only the granola bars and nothing else. these were great, i will make them again and again. thank you.

I bought a container of mixed dried fruit at about $5, which happened to be 6.5 oz. I love the product so much. It's definitely my favorite snack since it is so healthy and tasty. My husband doesn't like the sunflower hulls though. I'll try it with hulled sunfloweer seeds next time.

Best granola bar you will ever eat. Great rainy day project -- make a few batches.
One pitfall: dried fruit is sooo expensive. Any ideas? Should I just use raisins next time?

This recipe is really great! My kids (who are normally very picky and probably wouldn't eat anything except the fruit in this recipe were begging for seconds. The recipe was really easy to follow and the bars turned out not too sweet...nice and chewy...and the house smelled awesome while baking. Don't think I'll be buying granola bars again!
