This recipe is great! The only think I would change is not add the brown sugar a little to sweet for me.

To the person who said this was expensive to make go to vitamin cottage or a natural food store I got a pound of wheat germ for $2.35 and they have a wonderful arrangement of dry fruit and nuts for great prices, you have to look around.

This is now a regular snack at our house. I substituted the wheat germ with flax seeds, added sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

Becareful not to over cook, however my family likes it a little crispy.

Super easy to make and fabulous taste! The kids (apart from the 3yo and husband loved them and ate them at every opportunity. I had one bar before they were gone! These were by far the best granola bars I've ever had - sweet, crunchy and really good. I made them in an 8x8 pan instead of 9x9 and had no problems with crumbling, plus I added about 1T of flax seed. Made them a week ago and already have my husband asking when I'm making them again. Definitely a keeper!

This recipe was easy and it tastes awesome. My husband, 9 yr old, 5 yr old and I finished it off in a few days. It's great plain, with yogurt, over ice cream, and even as cereal when crumbled up.

Love these! They're so easy to make. I've found if you press the bars down a couple of times while they cool, they're less likely to crumble when you cut them. Also, I added some cinnamon and 1/4 cup of almond butter to the "wet works" for a variation. Yum!

I ended up not even mashing them into bars, but left them it as straight up granola to munch on. Really delicious!

My son and I made these together - it was fun and they were delicious (we loved sneaking bits off of the still-warm block of granola... Mmmm...

Ok first of all...raw sunflower seeds ARE NOT just unshelled sunflower seeds! If you can't find raw, shelled seeds, (check the bulk section of the grocery store use roasted, shelled ones and just don't toast them first with the other ingredients. Anyway, these turned out great. I used half honey and half molasses as another reviewer suggested and they have a fantastic flavor. I can't wait to try these again with different fruits or maybe some peanut butter. Hmmmm....so many possibilities!
