This is the best recipe for granola I have, and I've made granola over the years from many recipes. It's easy, and one can adapt it according to likes -- e.g., I use dried cherries as well as the cashews. It makes a great gift around the holidays. Alton never disappoints.

This is so tasty! I used honey in place of the syrup and withheld the cashews, but added dried cranberries. I wonder if there is a way to make it with more chunks, like the packaged but inferior varieties?

My 16yo son and I made this together, dividing the batch into no nuts with a light sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on top(his and nuts with added chopped apricots(mine. Both were equally fantastic, and better than anything you can buy in the store!

I've never been disappointed with any of Alton Brown's recipes but this one was the best. Tried it with dried apricots, dried cranberries and dried blueberries. What a great breakfast and a snack I don't feel guilty eating.

This Granola is so easy to make and it's crunchy and delicious! I didn't even have cashews or raisins so I just added more slivered almonds and dried cherries and cranberries, because I already had those on hand. My 18 year old son loved it and he doesn't even like Granola!! It's a keeper! :

This is fast. It takes about 5 minutes to put the ingredients together. It makes the house smell warm and nutty while it gently bakes. It's good on ice cream, yogurt, or all alone.

This is one of the best granola recipes I have ever tasted. We always keep a batch on hand.

This was very simple to make. I'm not a big fan of raisins so I substituted them with dried bananna chips. It's great for long car rides and hiking. It is a little messy to eat.
