I saw this on GE last night and have been dreaming about ever since! I had the date/prosciutto combo when I was in Italy, Naples to be exact, while I studied abroad two years ago. I have been longing for that sweet/salty crispy goodness ever since.
This recipe knocked it out of the park! I did not adjust anything. Had no problem finding the rapid rise yeast at QFC stores in western Washington. I found the Malt Barley at PCC organic food store.
It was delicious and had a nice lightness to it so I did not feel like taking a nap and hating myself for the carb intake. I know it is not the most balanced healthy meal, but if you're going to splurge on Pizza I suggest something authentic, something crispy, and something that is definitely ... Good Eats!
