Based on all the rave reviews I was expecting to love this recipe but alas, I found it to be average. Yes, it's tastey but nothing over the top. I marinated it for 24 hours as Alton suggested in the video. I also found that it took much longer to cook than the recipe stated. I had to finish it off in the oven. I actually much preferred the leftovers where I chopped the tenderloin fine, added two types of barbeque sauce and made a pulled pork style sandwich with red onion and melted gouda cheese. I may make it again but my search for the perfect pork tenderloin continues. .

Made this tonight for dinner. Marinaded this morning before work and grilled when we got home. The balance of sweet and heat is addictive (not too much heat. My 5 1/2 and 8 yr olds even ate it. We had with Grilled Zucchini and Bean Salad recipe and it was an awesome pairing. Will put this into the spring/summertime weeknight rotation. Kids already asking for lunch wraps with the leftover meat. (That never happens

Absurdly good. I mean, public plate-licking insane good. The reaction at my table was euphoric, almost to the point of hysteria. This recipe cannot be improved, except to double it.

In case I've been unclear, make this pork recipe. Now.

Everyone loved it - subbed hatch chiles for chipotle but everyone agrees it was the sweet and sour that makes it so good.

Excellent recipe! I added a couple tablespoons of puree'd chipotle's in adobo sauce directly to my marinade. I puree the whole can and freeze the rest in a ziploc. I doubled the recipe and cooked two tenderloins. After grilling we poured the remaining marinade over the grilled pork and let it rest for 15 minutes. We ended up with the most amazing finishing sauce! I wouldn't do it without the puree'd chipotle's. It made the sauce and mixed with the lime gave the pork a great Carribean flair!

Delicious! I even made it on an indoor grill and it was fantastic!

It was tender and delicious. So easy too! It took longer than 12 minutes on my grill to reach 140. I was afraid that it would be too spicy, but it was perfect. This marinade would work well with chicken.

Yummy, have to admit I swapped oranges (zest & juice for the lime only because I thought I had lime and did not. But, the orange tree next door came in handy lol! Would definitely make again with any citrus it would be good. (Blended the marinade in the blender too! Thank you!

I came looking for a way to prepare pork tenderloin, and this one from Alton was at the top of the ratings list. I followed his recipe nearly verbatim (I had to cook it on an indoor covered-griddle because I don't have a BBQ, and it came out wonderfully fresh-tasting - - the highlight of the meal!

This is my go-to Mexican-flavored grilled-pork dish now!
