Holy cow. This is very likely the best pork tenderloin I've ever had, definitely that I've ever made. Unfortunately, we couldn't grill so I'm sure we missed out on some flavors, but it turned out fantastic on the griddle. Thank you, Alton Brown.

I give this recipe four stars instead of 5 because I altered it, based on my available ingredients. First of all, I substituted apple cider vinegar for the lime juice. I added the extra chipotle based on other reviewers. And last of all, I served it with a homemade cilantro pesto. YUM.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! I have never written a review before, but this was the best pork tenderloin my family has ever had! EVERYONE raved about it the first night I made it and then when I chopped it up and made tacos out of it the next night, they liked it even more!!!!! My family NEVER eats leftovers until now! Thank you ALTON BROWN you are my hero!

Made this tonight for my family had to double everything for the men in the family. Absolutely loved the flavors, the simplicity of this marinade is a winner. If one of the others sons was home don't think there would have been any left. We were throwing out ideas of other meats to use with this marinade, thinking come the fall might use this marinade and method on some fresh venison tenderloin or pull out the bear haunch we have in the freezer.

This is fantastic recipe - I made 3 very minor changes - 1 I brined the tenderloin for 24 hours in simple brine of brown sugar, kosher salt and water before I marinated 2 I put all the marinade ingredients in blender, including the chipotle pepper, and blended ve leaving the pepper whole, 3 I made the grilled pineapple salsa from Emeril Lagasse grilled pork recipe and served it as an accompaniment - the flavors worked perfectly together -

Everyone, including the 5 year old and 8 year old, thought this was incredibly delicious and it was completely gone.

It was not spicy at all so don't be afraid to puree the chipotle. The honey mellowed it out 100%.

If I could give this recipe more stars, I would. It's become one of my most coveted recipes. I've witnessed it convert multiple people who said they didn't like pork.

My favorite way to serve this is as a sandwich... while tailgating. Since it's marinated the night before it's so easy to pop it in a cooler and grill when you get there. Add grilled red onions, cilantro, chipotle mayo and warm toasted bun. So good. You owe it to yourself to give this one a try.

We loved it. The first time I made it I overcooked it and didn't let it sit in the marinade after it was done so it didn't come out too good. Tried it again and it came out perfect. So tender and full of flavor. I also made sure to spoon some of the adobo sauce in the marinade and I chopped up the chipotle pepper too.
