Can't get enough of these pretzels! The first time I made them I got about 10 large pretzels. The next time I cut them into nugget size pieces (about 2 inches. I served them for a party with different types of mustards for dipping and they were a big hit. Can't wait to make them again!

Absolutely love these, we get 12 to 14 pretzels from each batch. We have also added things like dried jalapeno peppers and a vegetable dip mix for different flavors. Because they turn out so big and soft they make wonderful substitutes for bread in a sandwich. The only problem is I don't know how to store them, I have tried bread bags, and air-tight container, they get really soggy. Thanks.

I've made this several times and the last two I substituted beer for the water. Added a great depth to the flavor but the recipe is great the way it is.
I recommend!

What a fun, family-friendly recipe. We did this as a lenten project and could have left out the egg wash to be more authentic, but giving up sweets was enough for two seven year olds! Thanks for another spot-on recipe!

These are THE BEST pretzels ever! They are so easy to make and so so yummy! The first time I made these I messed up 3 times(an didn't do anything about it and they still tasted amazing! This time I'm making them folowing all of the directions and I hope will be great!!
PS. I always add 1tbs more butter to make the dough easier to work with

This recipe is AMAZING!! I read the reviews and saw what positive response it had, but I was still shocked at how good they really were!! We followed the recipe exactly and we were able to do it without a stand up mixer. We kneaded the dough by hand. We made the recipe with our two daughters, ages 2 and 5, and they had a blast! This is definitely going to become a staple in our home : Thanks!!

I just had to thank you for this recipe. It wan't too difficult, I only had to run out to the store for 1 ingredient and the pretzels turned out beautifully. I was a little afraid of boiling the pretzels, as I thought I might mess them up somehow. But it was really very easy to do. I had seen some pretzel buns at the grocery store, so I tried shaping some of the dough into little buns. The dough cooperated wonderfully and the pretzel buns were delicious! I definitely give this recipe 5 stars and I will make it again and again! I pinned it too.

Thanks, Alton! These definitely didn't disappoint! Absolutely gorgeous and completely delicious! One small problem: they stuck to the parchment paper. :( Next time I'll bake them directly on a greased cookie sheet instead.
