Thanks, Alton! These definitely didn't disappoint! Absolutely gorgeous and completely delicious! One small problem: they stuck to the parchment paper. :( Next time I'll bake them directly on a greased cookie sheet instead.

The recipe exactly as written is a bit off, imo. I used less flour, more sugar and salt the second time around and they came out much better. Can use less water and baking soda, as well, to get better bang for buck. I combined water and baking soda in a pan and submerged formed dough that way with great results. Very versatile for different types of pretzel, great basis overall, have pictures on my blog, too. Thanks Alton.

Followed the recipe exactly; wasn't too difficult and the pretzels came out great!! My pretzel-shaping skills need some work but they were still delicious. They were a hit with my friends and husband. I will definitely make again.

I've made these pretzels several times and they are always popular. I always make little pretzel nuggets because they are easier to take to a party and they turn out well. I had trouble the first time I made them with the pretzels sticking to the parchment paper, so now I just stick them right on a greased cookie sheet to bake and they turn out great.

AMAZING!!! These are the first soft pretzels I've made. On top of no experience, I didn't have the gigantic stand mixer, so used a regular mixer & kneaded on counter. If I can make them, these are pretty fool=proof! by far, thsee are the best pretzels I've ever had!

    Enjoy & try them ASAP.
