After the Pretzels had cooled completely I cut one in half and made myself and my family some sandwhiches, they were some of the best sandwhiches I have ever tasted!

After watching the Good Eats episode featuring pretzels, we decided to satiate our salt craving with this recipe. Easy to make, and more tasty than any store-bought pretzel, this recipe is soon to be a family favorite.

These were easy and quick and delicious. My kids really loved them too! The only change I made was I substituted brown sugar for the white (from an older recipe I used previously. I agree that the only problem is that is yields 8. . . they were all eaten the first day. Will try doubling recipe next time.

Follow the recipe as for pretzels but after you roll out the "rope" and before you twist it into a pretzel, cut it in half. Follow the rest of the recipe as for pretzels. When you get to the part where you sprinkle the salt sprinkle only a little salt plus another topping (e.g., grated parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, etc. Bake as directed and enjoy.

I took this one to another level- instead of making traditional pretzels, I used it to make what can best be called pretzel bread. Excellent!

...not as good as my other recipe for soft pretzels. Willing to give it the benefit of doubt and try again, though.

These are the best pretzels I ever tasted. One caution, it's very helpful to watch the episode first to get things right.

This is a fantasic recipe. It was easy to make and the family loved it. My wife went on and on about how good it was. To say the least the 8 prezels didn't last long. I'll have to make double the next time. I would highly reccommend this recipe. The only thing I changed was I din't have prezel salt and used Koser salt. It still turn out fantastic.

Great pretzels and fun to make. Totally disagree with the clown complaining about AB not using lye... why would I want to bother with that in my home kitchen just to bake pretzels?
