I'm used to my cocoa being creamy, and this is not. I'm going to try and salvage the mix by adding instant coffee creamer like alot of other recipes have, it just lacks the creaminess that I am used to.

I thought that this hot cocoa mix lacked flavor and sweetness. I will stick to store bought mixes!

I made 4 batches of this and packaged smaller portions in 1 pint Mason jars that I decorated and gave as part of my Christmas baskets this year. I had one left over and tried the mix for myself - WOW! It's nothing like any mix I've ever had! Absolute perfection!

I have all ready passed this recipe on to family members. It's definitely "good eats".

This hot cocoa mix is very tasty, and keeps well, though in my house, it doesn't have to keep long! My only complaint is that you have to put so much of the mix into each cup of cocoa, so even large batches of the mix don't last long.

Who knew that instant cocoa mix could be so easy to make and ten times more delicious! Thank you Alton Brown for your wonderful recipe. As a hot cocoa a day person, I not only get much better flavor with your recipe, but it is a cost saver too. Yum - excuse me while I go get another cup.

The very best hot cocoa recipe is here! It's easy to make, and wonderful to drink! I made up a huge amount and gave it top all my friends for the holidays, and now they *all* love me.
You can substitute Splenda for the powedered sugar, but you need to use less of the mix when you make a mug of cocoa..
