I am possibly the worst cook on the face of the planet; however, I was asked to bring a "Spinach Artichoke Dip" to a baby shower. This was the first recipe to pop up and had 5 Stars...long story short THIS WAS THE HIT OF THE PARTY! Seriously, it was gone so fast - I was amazed! It was DELICIOUS! I will definitely make again. It seems like every recipe I try and is a hit ends up being an Alton Brown recipe...I'm starting to see a trend. FIVE STARS!!

Love the recipe and I am making it for my open house on Christmas Eve. I really don't like the mozzarella cheese recipe, it just seems to string and glob when you dip into it.
I do like the addition of diced water chestnuts.

OH SO GOOD.... I made this as an appetizer for Thanksgiving. It was so easy, and it turned out DELICIOUS! My husband and I were a little apprehensive because he's very picky about white substances (cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, and the dip appeared way creamier than what I'm used to with spinach artichoke dip. But once it ended up in my mouth, I couldn't leave the bowl. The red pepper flakes make it awesome, and this was by far the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had. My family went nuts over it. When I told my sister it was Alton's recipe, she said "Oh, that's why it's so good." : My first Good Eats recipe attempt, but definitely not my last.

I made this dip for the girls to munch on while we made Christmas goodies to give out and it was a 100% hit! We used one can of artichoke hearts and a little bit of cheap, shredded mozzarella (because we didn't have any more Parmesan and it was STILL awesome! I'm going to be making it again for our Christmas party. =

This recipe is really terrific. The only things I added were a clove of minced garlic, and then mozzerella cheese on top before I baked it. I substituted canned artichoke hearts for frozen, and thawed chopped frozen spinach before I mixed everything together and then baked in the oven for 20 minutes. I have people requesting that I make it again!

Very Good! I would suggest you go a easy on the mayo & sour cream though as I like my dip a little less creamy and a little more hearty. You can always stir in more if its not to your liking. I also wasn't sure sure about the pepper flakes, but after trying it, YES, do add the pepper flakes as it makes the recipe in my opinion! Also Ive found that adding a can of sliced water chestnuts adds a real nice texture and crunch. Its much better if left in the fridge overnight.

Everyone loved this dip and couldn't believe I made it haha. I used canned artichokes and it worked fine. I also added some shredded mozzarella to make it creamier and a little bacon... turned out great.

This should be categorized as super-easy. I've been making this recipe for years and without fail I get a ton of compliments every time I serve it and it is the easiest dip to whip up. It is very creamy, which you can adjust to your liking, and I usually add a touch more of the red pepper for a bit more flavor.

There was too much mayo and not enough spinach for my taste.
