These pancakes are wonderful, but I think there is a typo in the recipe. They were incredibly salty (and I really like salt!. I would recommend cutting it down to 1.5 tsp or 1 tsp.

As all of us know, finding the perfect pancake recipe is probably the most difficult and my wife and I are probably some of the toughest critics on these little flat jems. In all the recipes, we have found that some are too thick or thin, some don't absorb your topings and others just don't have the right taste. I would have to say that although these pancakes had excellent expansion, they just did not absorb the butter nor the 100% maple syrup. Most importantly, they just did not hit the pancake taste meter, a bit bland. I was of course very surprised since "Good Eats" is the best cooking show that has come around in a long time. But, I know that I will continue to look for that perfect pancake recipe. Thank you!

I am soo glad I found this recipe. No more boxed pancake mixes. This recipe is easy to follow, stores well and tastes better than any other pancake I have had anywhere. The recipe allows for adding your favorite extras, (fruits, etc. and keeps really well.

How about a simple recipe that takes the mystery out of something AND tastes incredible AND is easy to do.

    Must use a griddle.
