I never had very good luck with pancakes until now. Normally they were either spongy or dry but this recipe works perfectly. The pancakes were so good that I called the neighbors over to share this wonderful find. Way to go Alton, again!

The first time I tried doing this and it turned out great! Everyone was mentioning how good they were and fluffy. : I still have the mix in the pantry ready to be used whenever I need it!

Being from the South, pancakes are always on the menu. These are by far the best ever. My old standby recipe is similar, but the differences fall in the method of mixing the ingredients and not overmixing. They were fluffy, buttery, and delicious! Haven't had an AB recipe fail yet!

I love these pancakes - the instant mix is a pantry staple at my house. I don't get the need to mix the egg whites with the buttermilk and the yolks with the butter separately though just to turnaround and combine them. Just whisk the whole eggs into the buttermilk and then whisk in the butter. I've tried the recipe my way and Alton's and cannot tell the difference - saves washing another bowl.

Evidently, from a few 1-star ratings, these aren't completely Idiot Proof, but for those of you who know basics about pancakes (don't overmix, etc., they're fabulous. We took a bag of this mix along with us camping, throwing handfuls of fresh picked Maine blueberries, and we were the envy of the campground. Great job, Alton.
