    I love the flavor of this recipe, but boy does the color seem unappetizing. I probably would not make it for compnay. I have no idea what grains of paradise are, so I added cayenne pepper for some extra kick. I also cooked some spicy keilbasa and threw it in after I'd blended it. It tastes great, but looks gross.

    I did not taste the spices as much as I thought that I would, but nevertheless, this was very easy, very good and I can see myself making it again and again!

    Even my husband liked this soup! I used fire roasted tomatoes which added a much deeper flavor. To the leftover soup I added cooked smoked sausage, additional seasonings and broth for a hearty winter dinner. Two excellent meals for very little money...what a deal!

    I can see why this is AB's favorite soup. It was so good and so easy (as usual that my entire family ate it everyday until it was gone. It seemed to get better each day, too. Couldn't find the blue lentils though and just used the pasty brown ones. This was good, good eats.

    My husband is a vegetarian and one of the challenges is making sure he gets enough protein -- this recipe was easy & delicious!!!

    It has become an instant classic in our house.

    It is a fast and easy recipe for a healthy soup. It is a different way to to prepare lentils and tastes really good.
