This recipe is great. Good for those cold nights or whenever. I'm really glad the local central market had grains of paradise because you could really tell the difference it makes. I also used some kale and some smoked sausage and it really is very satisfying for a soup. One of my winter favorites now.

Delicious. I didn't have a can of tomatoes so I used fresh and used my immersion tool to smooth out the soup. Second times I'm making it.

The whole family loved it (and that is saying a lot for this family. Don't skip the grains of paradise (you can find plenty of spice shops on the internet that have it and it's not expensive really does add a nice taste.
Topped ours with a little touch of sour cream, really good!

Excellent flavor! Didn't have grains of paradise the first time. Found it in the spice isle at Whole Foods and am making it again tonight!

I followed the recipe but used a pressure cooker instead. Had to add a 14oz can of chicken stock to thin out, otherwise delicious!

Too salty for sure. I wish I could go back and only add 1/2 t. salt. I also wish for something fresher in it. Perhaps spinach.
