This was great tasting and more real than those mixes that are sold. A little messy but well worth it.

I found this recipe to make quite a bit of a mess, but it's my own fault for not having the right tools. I made tyler florence's fajitas and these margaritas for cinco de mayo and was blown away. I've made them the next day for some more friends and they were even more impressed than me. Try it and you'll be blown away!

I made them for the first time last yesterday and she said they taste more refreshing than anything in a premix.

I'm hispanic, it's in my blood to drink margarita's - but they were always so sweet. No more! This is the best, labor intensive, like Justin's idea - but worth every muddle! used naval orange instead, good tequila - makes for "smooth" margarita. Gracias A.B. -es muy bueno! Lisa

We have tried a lot of margarita recipes, but this is the BEST! The addition of the muddled orange makes it spectacular. If you use key limes, you will find that four is just right. Thank you AB!

4 limes is to much unless you like it very tart - I used 2 & it was fine. This receipe is much better than any bottle.

I have never really liked margaritas but i really like this one. Not really like anything i've ever had. I can now see why people like it so much. Good job AB

DOUBLE THE TEQUILA AND THE AGAVE NECTAR.

Repeat that three times in your head and don't forget it. If you shake it with ice for awhile, it should net about two small drinks but they will both pack a punch. This will also round out the tartness that so many others have complained about.

    Otherwise, very good.

I've only had one margarita I've ever liked and was never able to duplicate it. Until now. This is the best drink I've ever had.

For me the amount of lime is perfect. I'm not an alcohol drinker (by preference so I replaced the tequila with seltzer water. I had about a half and half mix juice and water.

This is so good in fact, that I mixed to a small pitcher of the juice and had a small drink every day for several days. The only drawback was the oils from the fruit got a little strong on setting but after the first day, that disipated and mellowed nicely.

Thanks Alton for another outstanding recipe!

I was able to use an old fashioned levered Juicer that reduced the labor, but not the taste. An excelent concoction - so far removed from the restaurant "perfect margarita" offered. Thiis recipe is why it became such a favorite.. Kudos for an excellent recipe. It's what I'll use going forward. (with apologies to Cointreau.
