Great burger - if you grind your own meat, put a clove of garlic (omit the garlic powder and half a seeded jalapeño through the grinder and mix with the beef. Adds even more flavor and a slight kick. You could even mix in some crumbled blue cheese with the patties if you want to go all gourmet

Rock on Alton! These were awesome and my kids loved them. We topped with blue cheese and bacon. Yummy!

Do yourself a favor and crumble some of your favorite bacon cooked extra crispy down on the meat before the folding in half. Or really anything else you can think of... grilled cebollitos, fried diced fresh jalapenos, peanut butter? not so much... okay as a spread though :

If you're making a double (or triple batch and you have the counter space, what I've been doing is wetting down my kitchen counter and then rolling out overlapping strips of plastic wrap. Then using a rolling pin to roll the meat out on that. Gives you a lot more surface to work with than a cookie sheet.

I made these for a new years eve party, there were a hit !! i followed the recipe but used a big cookie sheet, used 2 pounds of ground beef and made 16 patties.. per pan. I also added 2 t. hamburger seasoning ,and chesse slice to them, one slice folded makes 4 slices just right size for the burgers. And i used an elec.knife 2 cut my rolls went faster and neater.. im sure these will be made again real soon . thank you!
