Wonderful flavor! I marinated these overnight. I'm not a huge fan of pork chops because they tend to be dry and tough. My chops had great flavor and very moist. They were still a little tough but that has more to do with the meat than the preparation. This is such a great marinade. I'm going to use it on a pork roast.

Very good and super easy pork chops. I only marinated for 2 hours. Deviated from the recipe - as I used 3/4" boneless chops.

This was the best pork chop I've ever had. I did dip the chops in the marinade while on the grill. Don't know if this helped, but they sure tasted incredible. Dog loved them too and she isn't much of a table food eater. I will make this for company from now on. I marinated them about 3 hours.
Thank you for being so inventive for us. What's next?

The butcher at the store cut some beautiful chops for me to make this recipe. I got the traditional bone in chop - not the one with the rib. I just told him 1.5" thick bone-in and that's what I got. It was a great mistake. They were delicious. Another great recipe from Alton.

    Delicious!
I've made this recipe quite a few times and it's a hit each time for anyone I serve it to. I really think the quality of the coffee can make a difference with the glaze flavor. I often grind my own coffee beans and brew with a french press, from which any leftovers are excellent reserved for this dish.
I usually use boneless pork loin chops, over an inch thick. They require more cooking time, but keeping tabs on the temp. during cooking makes a huge difference.
I usually marinate overnight, which I'd recommend, but today I marinated for a bit over 3 hours and they came out great.
The glaze can easily be spooned to the side for dipping, depending on preference (my wife does not care for the intense flavors of the coffee and molasses, which I love. My 3 year old daughter easily ate the pork (without the glaze. This is easily one of my favorite Alton go-to recipes.

These are heavenly. My family is not a big fan of pork chops but they gobbled these down. Even my 3 year old ate a whole chop! She loved it. My family said this is definitely a keeper.

I used a mild flavor molasses so it wasn't sweet to us. Thanks Alton this is wonderful and so easy!

OOPS! I didn't see to add the glaze part. We didn't do that and they were terrific!

Jamie & I had a late brunch today and were just too full to eat dinner on time. However, I’d been marinating these chops for grilling overnight and didn’t want to leave them in the marinade longer. So I fired up the grill and tossed them on. Lordy, but they’re great. Or – as Jamie said: ”ohhh, my tummy’s gonna hurt so much…”

This was beautiful - rich, juicy - absolutely nummilicious. Rated a 4.5 & would have been a 5 if it had some heat to go with the sweet...

Amazing. To accomodate what I had on hand, I used maple syrup instead molasses, subbed dry mustard for ginger and balsamic for cider vinegar. After reducing the sauce, I cooked the chops on a Mr Grill put in a baking dish, poured sauce over and broiled for 3 min. The coffee is key, so I would suggest using a top shelf variety to avoid any bitterness or burnt flavor. Served with risotto, baked beans, sauteed greens and corn bread.
