This was really tasty and something different for a change. The only change I made was omitting the thyme.

This was an amazing dish. I was thinking something along the lines of candied pork chops, which didn't sound too appealing to me. Turned out to be the perfect mix between savory and sweet. Finally have something to impress the relatives with, not easy in my family.

Awesome, awesome! Ok, Maybe the bad reviews are just bad cooks. I marinated the chops for 3 hours. Drained the marinade into a heavy sauce pan, brought it to a bare simmer and then set it on low and reduced for almost an hour. The resulting sauce was sublime on the moist grilled chops! I prepared Tyler Florence's Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with Pecan and Marshmallow Streusel to accompany. Talk about fall on a plate! Yum, yum! Thanks Alton and Tyler!

Quite superb and so simple. The sauce is NOT too sweet nor does it taste burnt in any way. Have faith in the miracle that is Alton Brown!

The chops were moist and the sauce added a pleasant sweetness. I served them with a green salad, punctuated with cilantro and almonds, corn on the cob and a bottle of rose. Yummy all the way around. Man is my wife lucky! :

I didn't personally care for this recipe. The flavor was certainly unique, and my boyfriend enjoyed it, but to me it tasted too sweet, and slightly burnt at the same time. I cooked the pork chops in a skillet because I don't have a grill, and it may have lost some essential flavor that way. If you make this, watch the sauce carefully while it is reducing. I wasn't paying attention and mine boiled over. It was edible, but I won't be making this again.

I found this recipe easy to execute and very tasty. I like the sauce redultion I thought it tasted like Worst sauce (Worcestershire Sauce. I call it worst sauce because I cannot pronounce it. :- Anyway, this is a keeper. I will make it again and keep it in the arsenal. Thanks AB! You da man!
